Strength for 3 sports
Pulling and shoulder work for the swim, hip and trunk strength for long hours on the bike, and single leg work for the run off the bike, chosen from your movement assessment rather than a generic gym plan.
Triathlon · Half Ironman · Ironman
Strength and conditioning for triathlon training, from your first sprint distance race to a Half Ironman or a full Ironman, coached 1 to 1 at our Finchley Road studio, NW3, around your swim, bike and run.

Triathlon training
With 3 sports to train, strength work is usually the first session a triathlete drops, and it is the one that holds the rest together. Your shoulders take every length in the pool, your hips and lower back hold your position for hours on the bike, and your legs have to run well when they are already tired.
We plan 1 to 1 sessions around your swim, bike and run, keep them short of the fatigue that would spoil your key sessions, and adjust the load as your race gets closer.
Endurance sports
Pulling and shoulder work for the swim, hip and trunk strength for long hours on the bike, and single leg work for the run off the bike, chosen from your movement assessment rather than a generic gym plan.
Longer events mean more training hours and more chances to break down. Through a Half Ironman or Ironman build, your coach keeps the strength work going in small, regular doses, then lightens it for your taper.
Nutrition coaching for big training weeks: enough food to recover, protein to hold on to muscle, and a race day fuelling routine you have practised on long sessions. Your InBody 770 scan every 4 weeks shows what your body composition is doing.
If a running, shoulder or back injury is getting in the way, Benjamin, our rehabilitation coach, rebuilds strength progressively and works alongside your physio or GP.

Your coach
Szymon Binkowski, our Head Coach, has raced triathlons and completed a Half Ironman. That is his own sport rather than his coaching specialism: in the studio he is a Level 3 personal trainer with over 10 years of experience in strength training, hypertrophy and weight loss.
What his racing adds is a coach who knows what a big endurance training week feels like, and plans your strength work so it helps your swimming, cycling and running instead of competing with them. Mariyan Voykov, our Manager and Senior Coach, also coaches cycling and marathon athletes.

This service covers the strength, conditioning, nutrition and body composition side of triathlon training. Bring your swim, bike and run plan, or your triathlon coach’s plan, to the free strategy call, and we will build the gym work around it and tell you plainly what else we can help with.
A Half Ironman is a 1.9km swim, 90km bike and 21.1km run. A full Ironman doubles each: 3.8km, 180km and a 42.2km marathon. The full distance asks for many more training hours, so strength sessions get shorter and more targeted, and fuelling and recovery matter even more.
It depends on your training hours, your race date and how your body copes with the volume. We agree the number on your strategy call and adjust it through the season, so strength work supports your swim, bike and run rather than taking time from them.
Yes. A first sprint or Olympic distance triathlon is a good time to build strength, because the habits you set now carry through to longer races. We start from your movement assessment and your current training, whatever your level.
Yes. BTX Online coaching through our Kaizen Warrior programme gives you programming, nutrition guidance and coach check ins wherever you train, which suits triathletes who travel for races and training camps.
Training at BTX is priced as a membership, not per session, because lasting results need a programme rather than drop in workouts. We match the plan to your goals on your free strategy call. Most clients train 2 to 4 sessions a week.
Most clients see measurable changes in body composition within 4 to 6 weeks of following their programme consistently. We check it with an InBody 770 rescan every 4 weeks.
No. We don’t prescribe restrictive meal plans. Your nutrition is built around your lifestyle, food preferences and schedule, so it lasts beyond the 12 weeks.
Yes. We work with clients managing type 2 diabetes, hypothyroidism, osteoporosis, high blood pressure, cardiac conditions and recovery after surgery.
Every clinical case at BTX is reviewed with Dr Matt Milner, A&E consultant and our in-house physician. He oversees blood work, interprets results in the context of your training, and liaises directly with your GP or specialist where appropriate.
This clinical oversight is one of the biggest reasons clients choose BTX over a conventional personal trainer. Most PT studios cannot offer this.
